How to Make Crumbl Churro Cookies

Making the Crumbl churro cookie recipe at home is easy and only requires a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. The hardest part of this recipe is waiting for the cookies to bake!

Cookies

  • Unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
  • Sugar
  • Light brown sugar
  • Large eggs
  • Pure vanilla extract
  • Flour
  • Cornstarch
  • Cream of tartar
  • Baking powder
  • Baking soda
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Kosher salt

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • Sugar
  • Ground cinnamon

Cinnamon Vanilla Frosting

  • Unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
  • Powdered sugar
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Vanilla extract
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Piping bag fitted with large round tip

Step One
Making the cookies is a pretty easy process. Using a standing mixer, you’ll beat the butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until creamy and fluffy.

Step Two
In a large bowl, whisk the flour, cornstarch, cream of tartar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.

Step Three
Gradually beat in the dry ingredients into the wet until a dough forms.

Step Four
Using a medium ice cream scooper, scoop some of the dough into your hand and roll it into a ball. You should be able to make about 16 cookies with this recipe.

Flatten cookie dough balls on a baking sheet with a nonstick silicone baking mat.

Step Five
Roll the cookie dough balls into the cinnamon sugar mixture, then gently press the dough balls into a thick disk onto the lined cookie sheets.

Step Six
Bake you cookies in the oven for about 10-13 minutes or until they are a light golden color.

Step Seven
Allow to cool completely while you make the cinnamon vanilla icing.

Step Eight
Beat the butter, powdered sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and heavy whipping cream in the stand mixer until creamy and holds a peak.

Step Nine
Scoop the frosting into the piping bag, then use the piping bag to frost the top of the cookie in a tight circular spiral. Sprinkle a dash of cinnamon on top of the cookies & enjoy!

This cinnamon Crumbl churro cookie recipe is the perfect dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

Cookies

  • 2 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
  • 1 C sugar
  • 4 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 C flour
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1⁄2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1⁄2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1⁄2 tsp kosher salt

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • 2 C sugar
  • 3 tbsp ground cinnamon

Cinnamon vanilla frosting

  • 1 1⁄2 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
  • 3 1⁄2 C powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 1 large piping bag fitted with large round tip
  • Ground cinnamon, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two cookie sheets with a silicone baking mat
  2. Using a standing mixer, beat the butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until creamy and fluffy.
  3. Whisk the flour, cornstarch, cream of tartar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl.
  4. Gradually beat in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a dough has formed.
  5. Using a medium ice cream scooper, scoop out a mound of dough into your hand and roll into a ball.
  6. Roll the cookie dough balls into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. Gently press the dough balls into a thick disk onto the cookie sheets
  8. Bake in the oven for 10-13 minutes or until a light golden color

  13. Sprinkle a dash of cinnamon on top of the cookies
