How to Make Pizza Pockets with Kids

These pizza pockets are really easy to make so even young children can get in the kitchen with you to help make them for dinner or a snack.

What You Need to Make Pizza Turnovers

  • Crescent rolls
  • Pizza sauce
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Shredded parmesan cheese

Simply preheat your oven and put some parchment paper down on a baking sheet, if you don’t have a silicone mat.

Now unroll your crescent rolls and cut them into four evenly sized squares.  

Once your crescent roll dough is cut evenly spread a little of your favorite pizza sauce on top of it (or have the kids do it).

Now have them place the pepperoni slices, shredded mozzarella cheese, and shredded parmesan cheese on the top.

Fold your crescent roll dough over and pinch it closed, making sure to cut a vent for steam, and slide them in the oven for pizza night.

Pepperoni Pizza Pockets


  • 1 can Crescent rolls
  • 2 tablespoon Pizza sauce
  • 20 Pepperoni slices, chopped or left whole
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoon shredded parmesan


  1. Preheat the oven to 375˚
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat
  3. Open and unroll the crescent roll dough, leaving it in a sheet
  4. Pat it out to roughly a 14X7 inches rectangle
  5. Use a pizza wheel to cut in half, then half again
  6. Divide the pizza sauce between the four even rectangles
  7. Place the pepperoni down and top with mozzarella
  8. Fold each rectangle over and pinch the edges together, then use a fork a to crimp the edges
  9. Use scissors or a knife to cut steam vents 
  10. Sprinkle with the shredded parmesan
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown
