Instructions

Spread the mixture onto a greased baking pan, using a buttered spatula to flatten the cereal mixture. Let the rice treats cool for a for an hour in the fridge to make them easier to cut and hold their shape.

Once it’s cooled enough to handle, use your shamrock cookie cutter to cut out shapes from the mixture. You can re-roll any scraps to make more shapes if needed.

Next add the candy melts to a microwave safe bowl, then heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between each :15 interval, until the candy is completely melted.

Use a piping bag, ziplock baggie with the corner snipped or a spoon to drizzle melted candy across the shamrock Rice Krispie treats. Sprinkle this coarse sanding sugar for a bit of gold.

Then simply place them on a plate or platter and serve! Store the treats at room temperature in a air-tight container for up to a week.
